UPDATES FROM THE MEET DIRECTOR

Greeting All!

I have a few updates for the upcoming weekend.  I hope you are all doing
well and looking forwarod to a great weekend!

For Friday night, we will have to do some cut backs.  The events affected
will be the Girls 15 & 0ver 400 Im and 500 Free, the boys 11-12 200 IM,
the Girls 13-14 400 IM and 500 Free and the Girls 11-12 200 IM and 500
Free.  All of these events will be cut back to the top 32 swimmers with a
possible PAC-only heat.  As stated in the meet packet, we may run a PAC
only heat if our swimmers are cut.  It will remain a PAC-only heat.  We
will also cut back the Girls 1650 to the top 24.  There will not be a PAC
only heat for the 1650.  We will post the psych sheets for those events on
the website for you to look over and determine where your swimmers are.

Here are the age group assignments for each session:
Friday North (deep) pool:
Girls 15 & over
Girls 10 & under
Boys 13-14
Boys 11-12

Friday South (shallow) pool:
Boys 15 & over
Boys 10 & under
Girls 13-14
Girls 11-12

Saturday & Sunday North pool:
Girls 15 & over
Boys 13-14
Boys 11-12

Saturday and Sunday South pool:
Boys 15 & over
Girls 13-14
Girls 11-12

Saturday and Sunday 10 & under session will be in the South pool.  In case
the South pool has not completed their session by noon, warm-ups will
begin in the North pool.  We expect to have warm-ups a 12 in the North
pool on Saturday and in the South pool on Sunday.  The 10 & under
competition will begin at 1pm each day as stated in the meet packet.   All
finals will be swam in the North pool.  Warm-ups will begin at 4:30 in the
North pool each day.  When the South pool becomes available, warm-ups will
be allowed there as well.  The South pool will be available for use for
the Finals session.  We ask that during finals, your swimmers do not use
the area between the bulkheads as there is an entire pool available for
use.  The bulkhead area will be available during prelims.

We are asking for your help with timing.  Here are the timing assignments
for Saturday and Sunday morning.
PAC- 2 lanes
FOX- 2 lanes
Wheaton- 2 lanes
Arlington- 1 1/2 lanes
Scout- 1 1/2 lanes
BR Ryall- 1 lane
Barrington- 1 lane
Leaning Tower- 1 lane
NASA- 1 lane
Chicago Latin- 1 lane
Glenview- 1/2 lane
MCY- 1/2 lane
MMAC- 1/2 lane
Brophy- 1/2 lane

Each lane will need 2 timers.  For the 10 & under session, we request the
following help from these teams:
PAC- 1 lane
FOX- 1 lane
Wheaton- 1 lane
Scout- 1 lane
Arlington- 1 lane
BR Ryall- 1/2 lane
Barrington- 1/2 lane
Latin- 1/2 lane
Leaning Tower- 1/2 lane
NASA- 1/2 lane
Bueler- 1/2 lane


Please remind your swimmers to keep their bags off of the vents on the
windows side of the pool.  It seriously messes with the air temp control
if those vents are blocked and then maintanence comes in and yells at me.
Please ask them to keep the vents clear, it will make the weekend more
pleasant for all of us.
