WHEATON SWIM CLUB UPDATES

Please note that you can now find many updates for this weekend on our Meet Info page. Note that we are assigned to the first warm-up slot each session, so be sure to arrive about 20 minutes prior to each warm-up session. IMPORTANT: Friday night warm-ups have been moved earlier to accomodate the number of swimmers. 4:00 warm ups, 5:00 meet starts!! (A Friday psyche sheet will be posted online today or tomorrow). Finally note that we have been asked to provide 2 timers for all afternoon sessions, and 1 timer for each morning session. Please be willing to help out!

UPDATES FROM THE PATRIOT MEET DIRECTOR

This email is to get everyone up to speed and ready for the weekend.  Attached to this email you will find the Team Timing Assignments and Team Warm-Up Assignments.  These documents have also been posted on our team website at www.patriotaquaticclub.org.  Click on the Ozzie Fest Icon on the sidebar.

1.  Please note that we have made a change to the Warm-Up and Start Time for the Friday Night Session to allow more heats.  Please be sure that you inform all your swimmers that will be swimming in the Friday Night Session.

Warm-Up 4pm
Meet Starts 5pm

2.  We will be limiting heats in the Friday Night Session.  The Top 40 after scratches will swim in all the 200's and 400's, and the Top 16 after scratches will swim in the 1500.  The Psych-Sheets will be posted on the PAC Website by 1pm today.  Please communicate this to your swimmers.

3.  We will be using the Field House next to the pool for an athlete and parent area.  In the Field House we will have the score board projected on a screen so swimmers and parents can follow the progress of the meet.  Swimmers are to keep their swim bags in the field house area to allow more space on the pool deck.  Also, swimmers are not to have deck chairs on the pool deck.  Coaches are welcome to have deck chairs.

4.  As this is the last regular season meet for many of the swimmers I am sure we will be seeing a lot of technical suits.  Please be sure that you follow the Illinois Swimming Regulations in regard to 12 & Under Swimmers.  Also, be sure that you have checked the FINA and USA Swimming Approved List.  We want to be sure that any suit used is approved.

We are looking forward to having a great meet, as we have a lot of new teams coming this year and a few teams from out of state.  Hopefully we will see a lot of new Championship Time Standards, Best Times, and Season Best Times achieved.
