Eligibility:                             All swimmers must be currently registered with United States Swimming.  Out of state swimmers must present a valid U.S.S. card at the Scoring/Records Table prior to pool entry.  Deck registration will be allowed if accompanied by a check for $45.00 made payable to U.S.A.Swimming plus another $10.00 processing fee due to SEAY.

 

Class of Meet:                      Class A-BB+B+C for 10 & U, 11-12, and 13-14.  One class for 8 & Under and Senior. 

 

Facility:                                 Indoor, twenty-five (25) yard pool with 10 lanes.  Pool depth at both ends is twelve (12) feet with 30” starting blocks.  An additional six (6) lanes for warm-ups and cool downs will be available throughout the entire meet. 

 

Timing System:                   A fully automatic IST timing system will be used with a manual back-up button, plus two back-up timers for each lane.  A horn start will be used to start events.  Should the automatic system fail, a gun or horn start will be used. 

 

General Rules:                     Official 2005 U.S.S. and WI LSC rules shall prevail at this meet.

 

Format:                                  All events will be swum as combined and then separated for awards, with the exception of the 8 & Under and Senior events which will be swum and awarded as one class.  All events will be pre-seeded with the exception of all 500 freestyle and  the 1650 freestyles events which will be positive check-in events and seeded on deck.  In addition, the 10 & U and 11-12 200 freestyle and the 11-12 200 back will be also be positive check-in events and seeded on deck.  8 & U will be staged.  Please Note:  Heats/events may be combined due to time constraints, but will be awarded as separate age groups.

 

Schedule/Warm-ups:                Friday warm-ups 4:30 PM.  Meet start 5:40 PM.  Saturday and Sunday Morning Sessions: warm-ups 7:00 AM.  Meet start 8:10 PM.  Saturday and Sunday Afternoon:  warm-ups will be one hour and will precede the start of the afternoon session.  (Estimated meet timeline will be posted on our web site:  www.execpc.com/~seay.)  Wisconsin Swimming warm-up procedures will be in effect.  Morning Sessions will have 30 minutes of circle swimming with no racing starts.  FEET FIRST ENTRY ONLY FROM THE STARTING END OF THE POOL, unless performing one way starts.  The second 30 minutes, sprint lanes will be opened as needed.  The afternoon session will use the same format.  Violators of the Wisconsin Swimming warm-up procedures may be subject to disqualifications. 

 

Entry Deadline:                    Team entries on Hy-Tek disk, hard copy, waiver, and fees must be received by the Entry Chair NO LATER than 6:00 PM, December 20, 2004.  Limited to 1500 swims per day on a first come first served basis with a check deposit enclosed with the entry.  PLEASE DO NOT submit more entries than you have reserved, UNLESS YOU HAVE CHECKED WITH THE MEET DIRECTOR.

 

 

 

Entry Fees:                           Entry fees will be $3.00 per individual event and $10.00 per relay.  A one time $2.00 splash fee (WI LSC Rule) must be paid for each swimmer entered in the meet.  All fees must accompany entries.  Checks should be made payable to South Eastern Aquatics Y.  Note:  Please be sure the waiver is signed.  We cannot accept entries without a waiver. 

 

Deck Entries:                       The entry fee for deck entries will be $5.00 ($12.00 for relays).  Deck entries will be allowed to fill open lanes (additional heats will not be added).  Deck entries close 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.

 

Entry Limit:                          Participation is limited to a maximum of four (4) individual events per day, plus relays.  Age is to be determined as of January 7, 2005.

 

Disabled Swimmers:                Coaches are encouraged to inform officials and the Meet Director of any special needs swimmer during warm-ups.

 

Deck Seeded Events:                All of the 500 Free and 1650 Free events will be deck seeded, swum fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys.  In addition, the 10 & U and 11-12 200 freestyle and the 11-12 200 back will be deck seeded, swum slow to fast, all girls then all boys.  Entries may be limited by Meet Management to adhere to the four (4) hour session rule.  Accepted entries will be posted on the web site on Monday evening, January 3rd.  Swimmers cut from these events will be refunded their entry fee or that fee can be used to deck seed in any open lane or event.  Positive check in for these events will be located at the Scoring/Records Table.  Positive check in will close 30 minutes before the start of the session.  The Wisconsin Scratch rule will be in effect for this meet.  Failure to scratch prior to seeding and not swimming the event will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which he/she is entered.  Swimmers must provide their own counters for the 500 Free and the 1650 Free.

 

Relay Cards:                        Relay cards will be in the coach’s packet.  Cards must list the swimmers’ last and first names (names must be listed in order of swim) and the ages of the swimmers.  All relays will be “mixed” and can consist of any combinations of male and female swimmers.

 

Coaches Packet:                  Coaches may pick up their packets at the Scoring/Records Table.  Any monies owed must be paid before you can obtain your packet.  Please be prepared to show your U.S.S. coach’s card at the time you pick up your team packet.  Coach’s cards must be visible at all times on deck. 

 

Awards:                 Awards will be given for individual events as follows:

                                                A-BB Class:  1st – 3rd Medals / 4th – 12th Ribbons

                                                B Class:  1st – 3rd Medals / 4th – 12th Ribbons

C Class:  1st – 3rd Medals / 4th – 12th Ribbons 

8 & Under Class and Senior Class:  1st – 3rd Medals / 4th – 12th Ribbons

                                                Awards will be given for relay events as follows:

                                                1st – 6th Ribbons

                                Awards must be picked up at the meet.  Awards will not be mailed after the conclusion of the meet.

 

Heat Sheets:                         Admission:  $3.00 for spectators over 12 years.  Heat Sheets:  $3.00  (For Friday’s session, admission includes a heat sheet.)

 

Food:                                      Food and beverages will be available on the premises.

 

Conduct:                                All coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and will see that their club has proper supervision at all times.  Meet Marshals shall have the authority to remove any swimmer/s from the meet for any violation such as improper behavior damage to property, etc.  Such teams are responsible financially for damage of property.  There shall be No Smoking permitted at any time on the premises.  Please make sure your team’s area on deck and rest area is picked up at the end of each session. 

 

First Aid:                              Injuries must be reported to the Lifeguard AND to the Meet Director.  A first aid kit will be located at the Lifeguard station. 

 

Lost & Found:                      An area for lost and found will be designated at the meet.  After the meet contact Jennifer Pennings, Meet Director, at 262-752-0387, before January 22nd.

 

Meet Results:                       A copy will be provided to every club entered in the meet.  Clubs who submit their entries on a disk may have a club representative pick up the disk with results on it at the conclusion of the meet.  Those wishing to purchase a copy may do so at the Awards Table for $10.00.

Directions:                           From Milwaukee:  South on I-94 to Exit 339, Hwy E, East.  **Remain on Hwy E until you reach Hwy 32 (also known as Sheridan Road).  This will be approximately 10 miles.  Hwy E will dead end at this intersection.  Turn right (south) on Hwy 32 (Sheridan Road).  Carthage College will be on the left hand side of the road.  From Illinois:  North on I-94 to Exit 339, Hwy E East.  Please park on the lower level and enter the building through the lower level doors.

 

Swim Supplies:                Kiefers will be on site Saturday-Sunday to provide swim accessories and supplies.  You may want to holiday shop for your swimmer!

 

Raffle:                                    We will be holding our annual raffle.  Tickets will be on sale for $1.00 each.
