Dear Swimmers and Parents:
It is hard to believe that it is already time to start solidifying plans for the 2006 Summer Sectional Meet. Those of you with cuts and who are close to cuts should be getting excited about the meet and also getting your travel plans finalized.
The meet will be held July 20-23, 2006 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
At the summer meet, Wheaton Swim Club swimmers and families make their own travel arrangements. This allows you to be flexible in case you are leaving after the meet to go on vacation.
The club has already booked a block of hotel rooms for coaches and swimmers. All you have to do is confirm with the coaching staff that you will be attending the meet. Parents attending the meet will need to make their own hotel arrangements.
Swimmers need to arrive in Minneapolis at the team hotel by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 at the very latest. Swimmers will be released to their parents at the conclusion of the Finals Session on Sunday, July 23.
All swimmers should give their flight information to the coaching staff as soon as possible. Swimmers and families must make flight arrangements directly with the airline. The coaches will NOT be booking flights for swimmers or parents. Swimmers who are traveling without their parents may make reservations on the same flight as the coaching staff.
