Spring/Summer Registration Now Open! 2/2/12
The coaches are pleased to announce the official opening of Online Registration for the upcoming Spring/Summer season! We are looking forward to another great season, and hope to see all our current members participate in at least one of our three spring/summer sessions. Session 1 will run April 3 through May 5. Session 2 will run May 6 through June 6. Session 3 will run June 7 through July 28. We know that many of you, especially our younger swimmers, participate in your local neighborhood or park district swim teams, and we want to encourage you do keep doing so! When your friends see how much you have improved from last summer, that is just great advertising for us! That is why we have a) designed our practice schedule to conflict as little as possible with these events (many swimmers do both teams in the summer) and b) designed the 3-session format (many swimmers also do a combination of sessions 1,2, and 3, or the discounted Full Season). There are many updates this season which we would like to inform you about. Please check your inboxes for a detailed email about registration, and email the coaches if you have ANY questions at all. Ready to register? Click "Join the Team" above and select "Spring/Summer 2012." The process will be very quick for returning members, since most of the information will be stored already from last season!
"A" and "B" Conference Meet Info and Entries 2/2/12
Preliminary entries for the “A” Conference Meet have now been posted on the Meet Info page. This meet will be held Sunday, Feb 19 at Stagg High School. Each team may enter 3 swimmers per event and each swimmer may swim 3 individual events. If you cannot attend, please RSVP by Thursday, Feb 9 so we can offer your spot to another swimmer. This is an exciting meet and a great opportunity to represent our team! NOTE: 15 & older events will be filled on a first come first serve basis and have not been included in this report. Email the staff by Thursday, Feb 9 if you wish to enter. Times for this meet CAN be used to qualify for regionals, age group state, senior state, and junior nationals. Relays have been entered for this meet and will be announced the day of the meet. REMEMBER: If you are a 14&U swimmer listed on the entry, and you do not tell us you cannot attend, you will be entered and billed for this meet.
Meet entries for the “B” Conference Meet are now open online. This meet will be held Monday, Feb 20 at York HS. Swimmers may swim a maximum of 3 events between “A” and “B” conference. So if you are in 3 events at “A” conference, you cannot enter this meet. Wheaton Swim Club is proud to offer at least one Championship Meet to all swimmers, and the conference meets are a great opportunity for swimmers in ALL groups! We hope you all register! Note that times from this meet can be used to qualify for age group state, senior state, and junior nationals. Please read our full meet packet first on the Meet Info page, and then use our online registration system to enter the meet and select the events you want to swim. The deadline to register for "B" Conference is Feb 13 at noon.
Spring / Summer Registration Information 1/26/12
As usual, we will be posting our Spring / Summer Registration information near the end of January. We are looking forward to another great season, and hope you all will join us for the upcoming sessions. One great thing about our Spring/Summer is that we offer three sessions - Spring I (April), Spring II (May), and Summer (June/July). These dates are coordinated around the release of school, and spring and summer sports, and are designed to accommodate your busy schedules, and swimmers can register for any combination of the three sessions (with a discount for registering for all three). Many Wheaton Swimmers (especially orange, blue, bronze, silver, and gold groups) participate in both their park district teams, and the Wheaton Swim Club each summer! We hope that tradition continues. As always, many swimmers will be moving to a new group between seasons. We will be contacting those swimmers soon! However, because swimmers continue to improve throughout the season, you may wish to register for the upcoming season prior to us making a final determination. If this is the case, simply register for the group you are currently in, and we will adjust your account later. Watch your inboxes and the website for practice schedules and full registration details!!!
Additional Practice Offered 1/20/12
We are pleased to announce that the pool schedule has been changed for this weekend which WILL allow us to have practice for all groups according to the new schedule posted on the online Team Calendar. Hope you all can make it!

Spectator Reminders11/2/09
Parents and swimmers please review the Specator Guidlines (on the Practice Info page) for the pools we use. Specifically, Wheaton College asks that we not block the windows on the track, or the north or west sides. These spaces are shared with the college and community and they are to be kept clear. We welcome parents to observe practice from the pool balconies at any time. We also encourage families to join the Sports and Rec Center at Wheaton College, so you can take advantage of the weight room and track.
